hope

Turns out, beauty still exists in the world. Amid the myriad bad news of the past week - suffering in Haiti, Ted Kennedy's legacy being replaced by a naked-truck-loving-republican, the dismal outlook for health care reform, tough news from a dear friend's CAT scan, the tragic death of a three-year old Eugene girl - something as simple and miraculous as a rainbow over my city can lift my spirits.

it is true mama. and i am really coming to realize the good really does outweigh the bad-- good things happen to us multiple times daily but somehow these crushing things that happen seem to light up in neon in our brains at times. thank god for rainbows though- they are magical and such a beautiful reminder that there is tremendous beauty peaking out of the grey. we've got love on our side. xoxo

Ah come on, you didn't really want that health care bill did you? That rainbow was brought BY Scott Brown. :)
